Hi, friends! Sorry I haven't sent this out in a while. I had one almost ready, and then... I never quite finished it. And now I've broken (/shattered) my right wrist, as I think most of you know. March 31st, and then surgery three weeks later. I typed the first draft of this on my phone, which was my easiest way to write, which was… frustrating. These days I've actually gotten pretty good at writing by (left) hand. And I can type on a real keyboard again.
Hey Marcy! I love this! I recently visited an alpaca farm -- and spent a bundle! Making scarves with the yarn (the most expensive scarves I've ever made) is therapy! I hope you'll charge enough for your time, but I completely understand that it's a pleasure not a chore. (And they're turning out adorable, too!)
Yay! I could have bought more expensive alpaca fiber than I did, and maybe I should have, but oh well. Next time. What I got is nice, just not quite as soft as the superfine merino. Though if you want fuzzy soft, it is that!
I also want to visit a local goat farm -- not cashmere, but somewhat similar, I think. At any rate, cashmere comes from goats, so at least they're that much related!
I'd wish for buying local to mean more savings, without as many middlemen and shipping costs, and maybe it does, but it sure is easy to spend a bundle, still! At least it's really cool. :) I'm totally gonna make some alpacas out of alpaca. Mmm, need more alpaca colors for details...
I'm starting to get a little better about actually tracking my time so I have a better idea of how long it takes me to make different things. It's easy to underestimate, time flies when you're having fun! :) Or in that "flow" state.

Thanks!! I agree with all of this! :D
